The Dominican Republic has seven distinct coffee growing areas including: Cibao, Barahona, Noroeste, Neyba, Sierra Sur, Sierra Occidental, and Sierra Central. A variety of microclimates are found throughout these coffee growing areas. This coffee is from the Barahona region which is widely considered to be one of the country’s finest premium gourmet coffees similar to Jamaican coffees.
